I thought I would try this blogger app to see if it works better than facebook for keeping in touch.
It is a 3 bedroom bungalow with a Buddha room and a western style kitchen . The Buddha room is a small room at the front of the House where Pemika has set up her Buddha shrine and she will do her
weekly prayers .. There is also a large platform constructed out front that will house the exterior
Buddha shrine and the statuary will installed at a future date . This devotion to Buddha is unquestioned and unquestionable and I have embraced her belief in the Lord Buddha . When I say embraced I mean I keep my mouth shut and allow all activities geared to her faith to flow freely though our relationship .
I included pictures of the kids and her Aunt cleaning to give a sense of size . The ceilings are 3 meters high or about 10 Ft which makes the house fell bigger than it really is . It was her brother Jack;s idea to put the bar in the Great room and it came out very nice .
My retreat is an air conditioned master with King Size bed , lounge area for TV and ensuite bath . I've gone from sleeping in a wooden tent with an outhouse to luxurious digs that are nicer than my house in Canada (lol) .
All openings are secured with steel welded security bars and screening to permit air flow 24 hours a day . Thai's are not fond of air conditioning and ,in fact , it isn't healthy to abuse the use of air conditioning so this is a much preferable alternative in this hot and humid climate . The rooms are still supplemented with air conditioning because come March April May it is very hot .
You will notice a satellite dish for TV that is nice on quiet evenings . Our internet connection is A1 and video streamingis no problem . Everyone has a a smart phone here and are plugged into all the popular social media.
Water pressure is an issue in the village so I insisted on a water tank and electric pump to provide
adequate pressure to have a decent shower .
